Android is the future. A NEW ERA/Revolution is coming. Android > Linux; Open Code/SDK, do whatever you want with a mobile phone. Like a small PC in your hands! All other phone OS are OBSOLETE in a NEAR FUTURE. They just simply can't compete with the world coding together.
Anon Says:
8gb is not the only advantage. The screen is far more bright while consuming less watt. Samsung has a dsp 256mhz, have u seen how fast it switch between portrait landacape?
I7500 is also vanilla android, it has the google logo on the phone. The kamera also have LED flash
Mix Says:
samsung and android is a killer combination! but I guess htc and samsung - at the hardware end and windows mobile and android - software are playing and cat and mouse game. htc seems to have the edge to android, but i personally think samsung is a better fit.
Capta Jones Says:
have you guys seen the new htc hero?
those new features like multi-touch, digital compass, etc. is it because of software or the hardware is better?

and also anyone actually tried this phone? i'm guessing the capacitative touch screen is the big plus here. but it really depends on the real feel/responsiveness.

any good reviews or handson video of this?

i know samsung updating the software sucks, hence using android would be a good direction.
samsung > just focus on hardware development would be ok.
Kimon Says:
This will be a game changer for android, The G1 simply cant compete hardware wise with the new iPhone 3G S. I have the G1 and am frustrated by the miniscul amount of internal storage and the inability to expand phone storage to the SD Card, and the Camera is not worth using. and the G2 appears to be more of the same as the G1 hardware wise. I cant wait for this phone in the US, I'm not eleigble for my upgrade but I'm totally getting it as soon as it comes out, and my girlfriend who doesn't know the difference can have my G1.
htc evo-4g Says:
Yet another phone from samsung and google, another version of android, is more or less similar to G1 and hero in appearance. What would be different in here would be the newer OS version.
